The WWE are clearly thinking about bringing back the Cruiserweight Championship.

As a viewer in England, in order to watch Raw I have to wait until 2am in the morning for it to start. Even though that means I am going to bed at 4am, I have done that a lot for the last several years. Sometimes it has been highly disappointing, and the Raw as a whole has been a big let down. You go to bed thinking “I stayed up until 4am for that?”. But sometimes you hit a break, and amazing moments in WWE history such as The Rock’s return or Chris Jericho’s return and it makes it totally worth it. Trust me, my sleeping schedule is ruined because of Monday Night Raw. There comes a period at about 1am where you start getting a bit bored and you just want Raw to start. Instead Sky Sports give you WWE Vintage Collection and WWE NXT. Last night I was watching Vintage Collection and it was a Cruiserweight special…

To me, this is a sign. This is a sign that the WWE are giving serious thought into bringing back the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. I have written about the Cruiserweight title being brought back before; and I have also outlined who I think the major players in that division would be if it was brought back. But this episode of Vintage Collection was showing classic Cruiserweight battles ranging from WCW matches between Shannon Moore, Jimmy Yang, Jamie Noble and others to matches with Tiger Mask as well as Chris Jericho vs Rey Mysterio. To me, this is proof that WWE are clearly thinking about bringing back the Cruiserweight Championship. They wouldn’t be putting their matches on their show if they didn’t think that people wanted to watch it. Clearly they do know that people want to see Cruiserweights in action, so I don’t understand why they don’t bring back the title.

Another reason why I think the WWE are clearly thinking about bringing back the title is the fact that they pushed so hard for the Evan Bourne vs Sin Cara match. Maybe they were thinking about bringing back the strap depending on how well that match went and how the fans reacted? As well as that, the other week on WWE NXT Tyson Kidd vs Yoshi Tatsu was one of the main matches of the show. Now I am not saying that that is a sign of the WWE wanting to bring the title back, but it does make me think if it was back those superstars would have something relevant to fight over. I think all signs are pointing to that titles revival, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see..
